Y'all it's Monday again...boooo hissss! I hope you guys had a loverly weekend and you're ready to tackle this work week. I have an terribly insanely busy week at work but I will try my best to stay connected. Especially since all next week I will be out of town (for work, not pleasure) and you will be hearing from some lovely guest bloggers.

Can I just go ahead and tell you that the best part of my weekend was the discovery of 2nd day hair?? OH MY GOSH WHERE HAVE I BEEN?? How did I never know the baby powder on greasy roots trick before now? My mom failed me by not teaching me this when I was in high school! I've been washing my hair every.single.day for my whole life. 2nd day hair is amazing, I'm kind of obsessed with it now. I ALMOST attempted 3rd day hair today, but decided I'm not that brave yet. I'll save that for a weekend. Thank you all who gave me great hair advice last week! I can't wait to try all them all!
Goals for this week: get my workout on at least 3x, eat clean, only wash my hair every other day, cook dinner every single night, keep it all together despite my insane work week.

2 and 3 day old hair are the best! Baby powder is my best friend! Sometimes if I am feeling uber lazy I will go for 4 day old hair if I am not leaving the house! LOL

But baby powder in dark hair wouldn't work :( It would make me look grey and what not.

Shampooing everyday is a pain in the butt anyways :)

ReplyDeleteOh I try to do second day hair but I just can't pull it off! I swear after 12 hours it already looks like I dumped bacon grease on my hair. =( You on the other hand look fabulous!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you weren't doing 2nd day hair! There's dry shampoos that are awesome too- I hear GREAT things about the Suave brand, but I cannot. find. it. whenever I look. I use the Tresemme kind, and it's amazing!
ReplyDeleteOkay maybe this is bad buuut I can go 3 to 4 days without washing my hair. I have long and very thick hair, I have to basically schedule an hour to dry and style it. So I basically wear different hairstyles depending on when I need to wash. Ponytail at work = just washed. high top knot at work = washing it that night. hahaha oops! well we all do what works for us :) xox - hope
ReplyDeleteHaha :) Second day hair. Oh yes, I know it well. When I was a little kid I HATED BATHS. I mean really reallyyyyy hated them. My poor mom. Sometimes before I would go to school I'd be all upset that my hair looked so greasy, and she'd always tell me its my own fault and when I would get home I HAD TO take a bath. But then she'd throw some powder in my hair so I wouldn't be embarrassed. Such a good mom.

ReplyDeleteNo one taught you the baby powder trick? You poor thing! I bought one in college and my friends were all like "what the heck?" Little did they know it would change their lives too. That was back in the day when you could still smoke in bars, so we'd stink of smoke but the powder helped take the stench away.
