Weekly Goals

Y'all it's Monday...and we have to work a full 5 days this week. That looks even worse typed out than it felt when I said it in my head. It feels so daunting!
 
I was a slacker this weekend and didn't take any pictures...nope not one. So I have decided to stray from the tradition weekend update route today. Instead let's talk about goals. Since it's the first Monday of 2013 it's only appropriate to fill your brain with this insane notion that I am going to set out to accomplish all these lofty goals.
 
First, here is what I DID get crossed off my to-do list this weekend:
-Took down the Christmas decorations
-went to Zumba class at 9 am on Saturday
-cleaned my house
-eat non-stop...wait - that wasn't actually on my list but I did do it
 
I have an epic girl's weekend to look forward to starting this Friday in Nashville with Kim & Cassie and a couple non-blogger friends...so I have to get my game face on. Ever since the week of Christmas I have been eating my feelings. I went from not eating my feelings to completely devouring my feelings. Can't a girl just find a happy medium in there somewhere? I've gained back all the weight I lost post-breakup, except for 2 lbs. I feel yucky in my body right now. I need a detox! This week I am going to do right by my body. Workout consistently, eat right, drink my water and after this girl's weekend I am going to slow down on the drinking and going out. Bottom line is I have to deal with these emotions that I'm still experiencing and not eat/drink everything in sight. MIND OVER MATTER. A healthy me will be a happy me, which will help me get my mind right for when I'm ready to start dating again. Ugh let's not even approach that subject right now.
 
Goals for this week:
-lose 2 lbs.
-drink at least 72 oz of water each day
-3 workouts by Friday

JEALOUS for your girls weekend!!! sounds like a blast!!! and i ate tons. but thanks for the water reminder. need to be better about this!

I have the same goal for the gym and eating better. Finally all the goodies my parents forced me to bring back are gone. So, back to healthy eating it is! Hope you have an amazing time in Nashville!

YAY GIRLS WEEKEND! I love a good detox. Whenever I feel like that, I always make sure to stay away from things like cheese and heavy carbs..even thick sauces on foods. You'll feel so much better by Friday! XO

You got it girlie. Emotions are the most annoying thing sometimes.

There is a time to drink your pain away and then a time to digest and I think you have your head on straight.

I've been feeling so BLAH lately too. I lost like 12 pounds in May and as of yesterday, I've gained like 7 back. I, too, blame it on the breakup. Damn boys!!

I brought a salad for lunch and I've already had 3 glasses of water! We've got this : )

You can do it!!!! I've been eating just crap lately...no excuse for eating my feelings, just...eating :/ I'll be right with you this week!!! I'm logging all I eat, will work out 3 times and drink the water (and go pee 85 times, lol)!!!

It's totally mind over matter! I always find myself eating my feelings, I wonder, do guys do this too??? Sounds like your weekend will be a blasty-blast!

My weekends usually end up being a "eat ALL the food" weekend.

And I def need to detox, too. I want to try juicing!

Also, I can't stop eating either. Seriously, I think there's a snack in my hand 24/7 and it's gotta stop. Make it stop!

being back home and things going good again SUCKS. HAHA well, you know! ;)

your weeks goal is definitely do-able!

i have gained some of my break-up weight back too. it doesn't make me feel pretty at all. BUT - i am happier. so i have to take the good with the bad.

Yay for striving for those goals and going to Zumba. I went to the gym for the first time in a month, and I was so excited to be back that I might have gone a bit overboard. Only time will tell, tomorrow I might not be able to walk
