FRIDAY!

Friday is such a beautiful thing! And today is Football Eve and Lord have mercy after watching that South Carolina game then Vandy vs. Ole Miss game last night THIS girl is ready for football time in TN! Game day is such a powerful thing and I am so thankful to have grown up with the UT traditions and to be an alumni. It just means something to us around here! You know you are an addict, when this picture gives you goosebumps. CHECK!

 

My Vols are a rockin' a new coach this year (AGAIN), but we have high hopes! This season might struggle a little, but the future looks bright again! Feels like we are ready to finally rebuild this program back up to where it should be.

You know us Southern girls take our football very seriously. My mom must have missed that memo because last night she actually said to me "does Peyton Manning still play for the Titans?" I about fell out on the floor! See why I'm a daddy's girl?

 

 

 One of my early birthday presents I've gotten was this cute little number from my step-mom. I love it and I've been lusting after these on Pinterest for forrrrrrever! Just in time for game day!

 

So here's to a fast Friday, a looooooong Saturday full of tailgating & football and a 3 day holiday weekend! Oh yeah and GO VOLS!!!

Friday Love

You know how some weeks breeze by and others just draaaaaaaaaag on? Well this week has been the drag on kind. Yesterday morning I woke up and thought it was Friday. If you know me, then this is no surprise. I rarely know what day of the week it is. However, yesterday I went on thinking it was Friday until about 9am. That's probably a new record. Today feels like working on a Saturday, which feels like no fun at all.

 

Last night I did girl's night and insisted on staying classy by drinking PBR... my ex-fiancé would be so proud of me... so today I have a terrible headache. But going out to see Joe Nichols with my girls and my boots on is well worth the headache. He was awesome!

I am not ashamed to admit when I have a girl crush! I appreciate a smokin' hot female, as well as one who is funny and talented. My favorite is a girl after my own sassy mouthed heart! I'm sure I will feel like a total lesbian at the end of this post...

I am OBSESSED with Nashville! That show is amazing and I am counting down the days until it's back. I have always liked Hayden and thought she was cute - remember her Remember the Titans days?? I love me a girl who loves football! But since being on Nashville, I am flat out in love with her. There, I said it. She's stunning AND she can SING! I need to download this soundtrack asap!

 

Jana Kramer

Love her voice, love her cute face and this girl can ROCK a pair of leather pants! When she came to Knoxville a couple months ago with Darius Rucker, I was impressed! Plus, she won me over with her "Whiskey" song. I feel like she's a badass Miranda in training.

 

Blake Lively

Could she be more perfect? I was never a big Gossip Girl fan, but I did watch her a few times. After I saw her in The Town & Savages, I was done for! She is so fashionable too and always looks fabulous!

 

Olivia Wilde

I have crushed on her since waaaay back in the OC days! I love a lady with a quick wit and she is hilarious, not to mention gorgeous! AND she's with Jason Sudeikis... can I just BE HER ALREADY?!?!!

 

Jennifer Lawrence AKA JLaw

I barely even knew who she was before Katniss! She's my new fav sass mouth girl! Have y'all seen her in The Silver Linings Playbook?? Loved her flawed character. I cannot wait for Catching Fire!

Oh You Fancy, Friday?

First & foremost on this lovely August 2nd, I would like to wish my favorite daddy (well my only daddy that I'm aware of) a Happy 50th Birthday! Pretty sure he doesn't even know what a blog is or read one so it's safe to put pictures of him in early 90's shorty shorts on here. I cannot wait to see the look on his face Saturday night at his surprise party! {Pretty sure I still make that face to this day when someone steals my ice cream cone!}

 

 

Friday, you are one good lookin' dude! Now if we are being honest, I'm not in the mood to work today. I've worked hard all week and I want to play today! I got my Happy Hour on last night, but didn't overdo it (per usual), Braves kicked some Rockies A$$, and we get to wear flip flops to work today. Does life get any better?

 

 

It's going to be a gorgeous day here, thankfully so I can rock the hell outta my new sunnies. Do you ever get new things and instantly as soon as you put them on it turns you into a smiling goofy idiot? That's me with my Ray Bans! I love them! I'm keeping it low key tonight so I will have no excuses for missing bootcamp tomorrow morning at 8am.

 

And in Back That Azz Up news... I used to love TSwift when she first came out. Then she got on my nerves and her songs sounded childish - but still catchy as hell. So I hated on her like any normal American would do. Now she's getting back in my good graces, music wise. I could not give a rip about who she is dating, whether it's a werewolf or a Kennedy. I'm loving this song lately though!

Friday Fun!

I am quite sure it's impossible for me to be in a bad mood on Fridays. I realize that it's still a work day, but I have a set routine for the most part at work on Fridays, and it's a cake day. It's a little bit easier to get up when my alarm goes off at 6:15am knowing that I have a weekend in sight. Work your magic Friday, I ain't mad at ya!

 

Let's review the bad things from this week: My Braves lost TWICE to the freaking Mets...didn't even know that was possible, but yep it happened. Tim Hudson caught a nasty little injury the other night during the game (the one we actually won) and that video kept popping up alllllll over Twitter. I couldn't handle it!

 

Which brings me to, I have a confession. I'm obsessed with Twitter. If you are too, then find me here and we can tweet away together. Warning: I will probably blow up your feed though during The Voice, awards shows, country songs and other random moments. Twitter is my shit, Facebook is practically dead to me.

 

Something monumental happened yesterday - I skipped Thirsty Thursday to go workout. It was a Christmas in July miracle. I have been on my shit this week with working out and eating healthy and I know I will be having a few drinks on Saturday so like the responsible adult that I have suddenly become am I chose to go workout last night instead of getting happy. I even impressed myself with that move!

It's Friday, You Ain't Got No Job...

It's Friday and I'm feeling frisky! Did you know that Friday is the sexiest day of the week? True Story! Google that shit. I apologize in advance for all the horrid language in this post... I told you I am feeling frisky!

Tonight me and 19 of my pals are going to see Chris Tucker do stand up. I am SO excited!  Why is he doing a show at a comedy club in Knoxville? I think the IRS is after his ass and he doesn't want to go to jail. Whatev, I don't need the details. I just wanna get my drank on and laugh.

I'm also doing girl's night Saturday night, so just go ahead and prepared yourselves to be bombarded with Instagram pictures of semi-drunk nights. It's okay, we all do it right??? I also need to majorly clean my house since Manda is coming to Knoxville to stay with me next weekend, but let's be real it probably won't happen. Sorry girl!
