Nobody's Perfect

I took a cue from the lovely Ms. Jill's Nobody's Perfect post last week, and I'm here today to completely reassure you that I am one of the LEAST perfect human beings alive. Blogging has a nasty little habit of enabling us to compare ourselves to others and their seemingly perfect lives. I'm not sure what kind of picture YOU want to portray about your life, but mine is far from perfect. Let me give you plenty of examples of my short comings...

And PS - when I hear the hear "nobody's perfect" I always think of this song...love me some J Cole!

...If you ever leave me a voicemail, I will likely silently cuss you- I hate voicemails!

...I hardly ever wash my jeans. Or my hair.

...I have a quick temper - without a doubt my daddy's daughter in that department

...When I workout, my head and between my boobs is always drenched in sweat. (again the head sweat comes straight from my dad)

...The floors in my house are always dirty

...I get red blotchies sometimes when I am upset, mad, anxious or if I drink tequila

...I love to sing, and I sing loudly all the time. In my office, my car, at the gym sometimes with my headphones in. Even though there are plenty of times I don't know the words, I still sing.

...I overuse exclamation points and the word y'all (basically I'm Southern & easily excitable)

...I fall asleep sometimes in the middle of a prayer at night

...I am well acquainted with the hair thingy button on your pants trick

...I have a dentist phobia, I have to listen to my headphones every single time I go to distract me

...Guilty facebook stalker - remember I told you here about the guy I'm "secretly" in love with? Still true!

...I am a notorious deuces thrower (and man, I love my girls in this picture!!!!)

Point being, embrace who you are. All your weirdness is what makes you awesome and why I love you!!

You are too cute! I am guilty of the overuse of exclamation marks as well.Everything seems to be either very exciting or very serious when I write emails or texts. No room for middle ground in my emotions ;)

I love this! I am guilty of so many of these too! The exclamation points, the Facebook stalking (I have actually had people come to me and have me stalk people for them), and of course, the boob sweat!

LOVE this & YOU! I am guilty of several of these too!

Voicemails are the worst! But not having facebook is awesome. So much free time now that I don't look people up! And I haven't had it in so long that I actually haven't even seen John's facebook page in over 5 years!

Who want want a "perfect" life anyways. I am quite content with my crazy messy life!! LOL

I don't throw duces but I always stick my tongue out like a 5 year old! It's my thang!

Embrace the weirdness! I love that. I think I need to steal this idea too!!

Voicemail is so freaking obsolete. SEND ME AN EMAIL! SHOOT ME A TEXT!! I do not want to listen to your voicemail. Ever. I also overuse exclamation points and y'all!! Southern & easily excitable. That needs to be a shirt. And I'd wear it.

I am in awe of people who keep their floors clean. And their baseboards! I am awful awful awful at keeping a super clean house. Organized yes, clean no.

I read somewhere the other day that you're really not supposed to wash jeans that much! And I was like thank god bc I rarely do either! And we all Facebook stalk, some just don't admit it!

I totally have a temper too! I tend to get hot fast but am also quick to apologize. I totally overuse exclamation points and I am not sorry at all about it!!! :)

I'm with you on the dentist phobia. Even with nitrous, I'm a nervous wreck. And washing jeans- isn't that what the sniff test is for?

Voicemail is the hinges of all evil. Ugh, I also sweat in the head/hair area and wish it didn't mean washing my hair so much!

I always leave people voicemails but HATE when people leave me a voicemail. Hypocrite much! I worked in a PI company once and learned mad stalking skills there... I still use them to this day and probably always will!

Whitney @ EHFAR said...

I hate voicemail--just text me!

I go awhile before washing my hair. It's super thick and I can get away with it haha. I wear my jeans pretty frequently before washing them haha.

I hate the dentist and am scared of going. I haven't been in years and years and years. I'm definitely going to be scared when I actually go.

I get the blotchies from too much rum!

When I get a voicemail there's NOTHING silent about the cussing... it's a free for all. Don't do that. EVER.
Also, I use wayyyyy too many exclamation points!!!

Deuces thrower, LOVE It!

I also fall asleep in the middle of prayer. I suck! :)
annnnnnd voicemails. I need them, or I am not calling back. If it wasn't important enough to leave a voicemail. TOO bad.

Amanda Elizabeth - Meet @ the Barre said...

I sometimes forget the last time I washed my hair...it's a problem....Your throwing up deuces picture is so freaking cute. I sweat like you wouldn't believe...even when I'm teaching it's so embarrassing.....I mean I'm like not even doing anything...I blame it on my copious amount of water consumption.

Janna Renee said...

I am right there with ya on almost all of these! Especially the not washing jeans or hair. So unnecessary to wash them all the time!

Jill @ Bluegrass Belle said...

Boob sweat is the worst...and I don't even have much there! I sweat terribly anyway, ick. I frequently fall asleep in the middle of my prayers, too. I pray God forgives me!!! :)

I swear, if we lived near each other we'd be such good friends!

Oh my goodness... the blotchiness and the singing is SO me! haha

I'm kind've new to blogging, so I figured I'd stop stalking people's blogs and finally say hi. :)
