Thankful Thursday

Since it's only May 2, I will hold off on the 30 in 30 May link up until next week. So spread the word!

I know I've been pretty mushy around here lately, but you can stand just one more day of it. I talked on Tuesday about me being so hard on myself about my body and it really has a negative effect on my self-confidence. I know most of us struggle with this at different times in our lives. But I am trying to be thankful for what I DO have vs. complaining about what I DON'T have. The Lord has been working in my life y'all. I know we don't all believe the same way, and that's perfectly okay. But these past 2 months or so that I have been dedicated to getting back in church and surrounding myself more with positive people have really changed me. I have been able to let go of grudges, forgive myself for things that I was struggling with, influence others, make peace with people, and just feel free. I have prayed about specific things and relationships in my life and God has answered those prayers. (So sorry - I am not trying to get preachy with you guys!) Basically, my point is we all have a lot to be thankful for. No matter what you have going on in your life or what has happened to you in the past. Plus, I've said it before and you KNOW it's true positivity is contagious.

I have so many small goals for May; I know it will be difficult to juggle them all. But I really am in a place of focusing on bettering myself. My 2 major goals for May will be: 1) Work towards getting back to a healthier lifestyle, be active, make smarter eating choices  2) Be Thankful Every Single Day. Seems pretty simple, right?

Other little tid bits for you -
I have a little surprise for you tomorrow! I'm off work (HELLO, 3 DAY WEEKEND!) so I have asked a special girl to fill in for me. You'll love her - promise! And speaking of surprises, I have a BIG one planned for the end of May when we wrap up the 30 in 30 challenge. So keep linking up and stay tuned for that!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and enjoy a little margarita in honor Cinco de Mayo! XOXO

You are such an inspiration, more than you know! You've been my saving grace at times over these last several months. I'm blessed to know you! It's so funny to me that our goals are the same for this month. I know we've talked about our fitness, but not the other. I guess you're rubbing off on me in more ways than one! Can't wait for the surprise at the end of May! Love you lady!

I'm so glad you posted this today. I feel like my goal to lead a healthy lifestyle is a constant work in progress and I also feel like building my faith is also a constant work in progress so this hit close to home for me. However, I feel like when I'm really working on both - I am the happiest. Go figure! I hope you have an amazing 3 day weekend!

Ok so is this a challenge for May or from March? I want to link up & do the blog link but I just want to make sure I'm not missing something :) Also, I'm not sure what the guidelines are. Are we just linking up weekly with how many miles we've gone that week? Sorry, I tried looking at your other posts but I wasn't really sure what was going on :)

I have posted my Miles in May and have grabbed your button and shared you site....so not sure what the next step is? Do we link up on here? I have been trying to spread the word :)

I'm so glad I came across your blog! I almost feel like you've written exactly what I feel. I hate the feeling of being uncomfortable in your skin and really work on being positive with body image. I've also found myself going back to church on a regular basis and realized its made me more accepting and positive!

Your posts really do have a positive feel and I love reading them!

I deal with self confidence alot too, but there are also days where I am SO happy with the person I am. We all have our good days and bad days.

Just realize how much of a inspiration you are to so many of us who follow you on your journey. Your looks, your personality, your strength , your love for life, and your inner "shine"

You are one of the greatest girls I have "never" met, and even though our bodies might not be perfect, that's fine that can be adjusted, but you can't really adjust who you are and who you are meant to be, but you my dear are blessed with having the best "you" qualities, and that is all you will ever need to succeed in ANYTHING!
