Confessions

These are my hump day confessions -
and just in case you aren't singing Usher after reading that, then here you go. You're welcome!

I confess...
I want a boyfriend for summer. I know I'm always like "don't settle" and blah blah but summers were made for boyfriend activities

I have been having crazy dreams lately and maybe that has to do with the fact of why I'm not getting good sleep

My body is not ready for lake season

I just recently found out what a subtweet is

I have this weird feeling that something is about to happen/change in my life, and it's a really STRONG feeling - It almost scares me

Facebook annoys me

My work trip to FL got cancelled for the end of this month and honestly I'm a little relieved. As much as I'd love to go to the beach right now, I think it would just make me lose focus.

I caved and used Visine yesterday...against my eye doctor's orders because I'm a rebel

I cried a little when I read my last wedding Wednesday post from 2012, sometimes I like to torture myself and go back in time

I haven't made time to finish everything with my floors so I'm still living with concrete floors. Hopefully Friday I can wrap things up since I'm off work.

Against my better judgment, I watched the new Resurrection show Sunday night. I will definitely watch again to see where they go with it, even though it freaks me out.

Things that I have been so great at lately: singing loudly & napping

I have been known to be a little flirty. But sometimes I'm genuinely trying to be nice.
Then there are people who don't know the difference...

I have no idea what a subtweet is...I actually just deleted my Twitter handle.

I am so over Facebook.

I'm genuinely afraid of Resurrection. The concept freaks me out and I don't think I could handle it.

Summers are made for being single!! Have fun with it girl!

my friend was the opposite: he only had a girlfriend during the winter and then would always break up with them during the summer so he could whore around!!

I hate facebook. I quit it years ago--but sometimes I get on the hub's account (he knows) to see pics, etc. And every time I do--I'm reminded why I quit. Ugh. You rock that napping and singing, friend! Sing loud! Sing proud! Lol! Also? What is a subtweet?

Literally, I hate Facebook. I hate everything about it. But I also work in digital marketing, so I spend a good few hours on it every day. It's horrible, and it doesn't do anything but annoy me. Same with subtweets; either tag the person or take it to text! I don't want to spend my time guessing who you're talking about, you know? And last but not least: the lake bod will come, and even if it's not exactly what you imagined, you'll be having way too much fun at the lake to notice!

Girl, tossing Facebook is still the best decision I ever made. I also have no idea what a subtweet is but I'm about to go find out!

I agree, a bf for summer is awesome, so I can totally understand that confession.

And I also am kind of over the FB. just annoying!

I am never on Facebook anymore either. I had to Google subtweet. Haha!

I like FB to stay in touch with out of town friends/family (none of them have Twitter).

I loved Resurrection! It gave me chills and made me teary eyed, but it was so good. I will definitely be watching more.

i've always been flirty too. i like to think of it as one of my best qualities ESPECIALLY in sales ahahahah. if your'e having nightmares, check out what you're eating right before bed. watch out for spicy foods, red wine, sugar. they make me have craaaaazy dreams. so does sushi, oddly.

Yep, Facebook totally annoys me as well. Too many people airing their dirty laundry or pretending their life is sunshine and rainbows. Over it!

Ok, I feel like an idiot. My JOB is social media and I have no idea what a subtweet is :/

I just love this...love your honesty and the fun mix of what's going on with you right now! P.S come visit!!! :)

Subtweets and vague fb statuses are the worst. So annoying! I really need to just give up on Twitter, I just can't catch on to it. I'm unfortunately addicted to Facebook, I wish I wasn't though.

What's a subtweet? FB annoys me on the reg, which is why I gave it up for Lent :)

That last one is why I tend to come off bitchy to men. I learned that one early on and ended up with a creeper-stalker, so I figured being rude is better than being harassed.

You sense change, eh? I hope a good change.

I'm sure whatever the something about to happen is...is something great!

That quote is hysterical and I hate when people mistake my kindness for flirting. Awkward....

Wait... what's a subtweet?!?! Teach me, oh wise one!!!!

I don't get subtweets. I'm friends with a girl a couple years younger than me (a couple feels like a lot) and since their main social platform is twitter she was talking about subtweets. Iade her tell me wtf she was talking about and then I said "why would you subtweet something. If you have something to tell somebody just grow some balls and say it." Does that make me old?

Amanda Elizabeth - Meet @ the Barre said...

Wait tell me what a subtweet is? Girl that post....that was a tough one....on another note Summers were always my favorite time to be carefree and date as many people as possible! Tan legs....windows down...singing music while your hair whips around....I can't wait! xoxooxxooxo sending you love!

Haha, just had to google subtweet! I always just called them "Passive-aggressive tweets." But I suppose they're not all angry so subtweet works better. Do you think someone was subtweeting about you? I will subtweet about them if they were.

Okay, so I "flirt" (or I suppose you'd really just say I'm super friendly) with guys whom I'm really not that interested in. Not as a teasing thing, but just because I'm like you, and outgoing and I'll talk to anyone and everyone. But then when someone comes along who I really like— I go RADIO SILENT. I'm like don't look at him! don't talk to him! limit the facial expressions! He might figure out you like him!! I get sooo nervous. Seriously. Who am I?

And re: reading the wedding post, I think it's a good sign that it stirs up emotions because that means you're not numb and you're working through those emotions. We would ALL be in the SAME boat as you, and the fact that you choose to share your story with us, is something I find so admirable. It never comes across as whiney. It's just your truth—and a difficult one for the time being. BUT, I'm thankful that each day you grow closer to your new truth, and that's one with an even better love story. Kinda cool.

Ok, I just googled "blogmopolitan quiz" and discovered your blog by chance, and I think we were separated at birth! I grew up in TN, am addicted to anything gold or pink, totally understand being heartbroken and wanting a bf for summer (we should go for what we want right?!). You = FABULOUS. http://lookbylizlewis.blogspot.com

i am with you on the bf for summer...like SOOO with you. A spring one wouldn't hurt either ;)

I have no clue what a subtweet is!

AND maybe your strong feelings are about the aformentioned boyfriend sitch ;)

I've missed you friend! I suck at blogging lately haha

Janna Renee said...

I still don't know what a subtweet is, but I do think that summers are fun single! When I was in college, I never wanted a boyfriend in the summer because I always wanted to have my freedom to do what I want. I think you'll have a good summer either way ;)

I just had to Google what subtweeting was. I didn't realize it was a thing! ...the more you know...
