Weekend Update

Happy Monday little darlings! If we're being honest I'm tired and STILL battling these allergies or cold or whatever it is that keeps me coughing at night. Good news though, my voice is back! But Monday comes whether we are ready or not, right? So let's make the best of it.

My weekend was nothing out of the ordinary. Well kinda. Saturday would have made ONE YEAR since Skye and I got engaged. If you are a new follower then you can find that lovely story here. It's definitely one of my favs. It's absolutely in-freaking-sane to me how much my life has changed in one year. I try to view these changes as a blessing - definitely one in disguise - but still a blessing. I know that one year from now I will look back and hopefully feel refreshed that these changes took place in my life for a reason. Remember last week I told you March is all about ME and finding some inner peace with my current life status!

#30milesin30days - My little heart was just thrilled to see some IG pictures and tweets about you guys logging your miles this weekend! I actually feel a little behind because my stupid crud that I'm battling! Saturday I did not make my way to the gym at all. I'm at a grand total of 3 miles right now. 27 more to go! I will be doing a challenge update on Thursday and hopefully I can figure out how to do a link-up so we can share our stories!

Straight from Instagram {nikkib918} I bring to you -- my weekend!
My Polar FT4 HRM came in the mail and I was soooooo excited! I'm cheap so I've been lusting over this baby forever now, but I finally treated myself and took the splurge. I found a shop on eBay that did free shipping so $65 shipped worked for me.

LOVE! Out to dinner for a friend's birthday Saturday night.

Went to church Sunday for the first time in a LONG time. The message was about having faith over fear, especially when you feel like it's too late for you to be starting over in your life. Ring a bell or what?

These little devils got delivered yesterday from my neighbor. I only got one box thankfully!

I was worried when I read the first line about it being your ONE Year engagement anny, but just in your writing I can feel your strength and I can honestly say I am not "worried" or "hurting" for you anymore (that sounds way worse than how I actually mean it so please don't take it the wrong way;)

I am so happy that you are finding such great things in yourself, those things that all of us can see and why we love you so much!

I love watching you develop into the girl you are meant to be, and I've been in your place and know that rejuvinating feeling. you are going to do AHHHMazing things (like get in to the best shapppe evvvvaaa! ;) and live out all your dreams and I am SO excited to watch you do it.

xo
lovvvess you!

Hooray for March being all about you! I might have to join in in this 30 miles thing!

PS I used a polar watch for about two years when I was "training" for my wedding body and then for a 1/2 marathon! I loved that thing. I ought to see if I can dig it up!

Not sure why I don't follow you on Instagram! Finding you now :) Dinner with friends is the absolute best! Something about how those church sermons come at the exact time you need them!

I haven't been to church in forever either. And every time I do go, I cry most of the time. Why? I'm not even sure. (The crying started before the ectopic, so who knows.) But - I LOVE when you feel like the message was just for you that day. A very simple, but real reminder that God is still there and He's still got you. :)

You are a mile ahead of me, I only did 2 on Sat while I was doing interval runs but I need to track them! I need to get a polar watch! have a great week love!

Love that you're making March all about YOU. I also love how strong you've been lately about this whole situation. I definitely admire you and I'm so proud to call you a friend!

So glad you went to church! Isn't that crazy how the messages relate to you? It's neat knowing God brought you there on that day..for that reason!

LOVE YOU!

Girl, you have come a long way in just a few months. I am so proud of you. Time will continue to help with the healing and I tell you, that was NO coincidence about the topic of the sermon. God is speaking to you!! Love you!

Aww loved your engagement story! It always brings tears to my eyes anytime I read a story like that because in the back of my mind, I am so anxious and excited for that to be me one day :)

I also have that heart rate monitor. I have tried using it a couple times, but it didn't work properly :( I think I might have it figured out now though. Love to hear how yours works for you!
