Motivational Monday

Instead of doing the usual Weekend Update today, I wanted to do something a little different. I know the past month or so I've talked a lot about fitness & getting back on the wagon (I have fallen off that wagon so many times, you would think it would have run over me and crushed me to death by now).

I can get into a good routine with my workouts, but I have NOT been able to get control of my eating habits. Sure I can maintain eating healthy Sunday - Thursday of the week, but then on the weekends I go nuts and just eat, eat, eat. I have touched a little bit on the fact that I am binge eating, but I think it really just hit me this morning that I have a problem with it. I stepped on the scale this morning only to realize that bloated feeling I've had is because I have gained 25 lbs since DECEMBER! I wanted to throw up, I wanted to cry, I wanted to run away and hide my chubby little body in a closet. No wonder my pants are tight and some of them don't even fit anymore. I have no idea why I like to self sabotage, but apparently I do. I cannot even imagine showing off myself in a bathing suit right now.

This cycle stops TODAY. April 1st is a new beginning and I mean it dammit! My methods of stuffing my face when I'm bored or stressed out are not healthy. I am going to be following the Weight Watchers Plan and working my ass off to lose some weight. I had a goal set for March to lose 8 lbs, but what did I do? I lost and gained the same 2 lbs each week. I know the right things to do to lead a healthy lifestyle, I just have to do them. I want to feel better about myself and more comfortable with my body by the end of the month. So here we are April 1st starting with a Motivational Monday because let's face it, I need a kick in the teeth!

Also, don't forget I am hosting the 30 Miles In 30 Days Challenge again for April! I will be doing the link-up on Thursdays so we can all share our stories.

I'm joining in. I weighed myself at my parents this weekend to see just how off our scale at our house is.
Ugh...
I really need to lose 10-pounds in the worst way.
My biggest problem is wine and now that we have Shelby finding time to work out is harder than I thought.
I'm pushing myself though. Last night, after we got home I drug my butt to the gym even though I thought about kicking it on the couch.

Why does food have to taste soo good?! I am the worst snacker in the world! I'm okay through the day it's at night when I just eat out of boredom or habit!

You got this girl!! I admire you for holding yourself accountable, that is SO flipping hard to do!!

I'm thinking about "hosting" a weight loss bet...check it out: http://www.dietbet.com Basically everyone weighs in, NO ONE knows your weight, just the percentage you loose!! Interested?? Even if it's $10, for some reason knowing there's a small amount of my money on the table helps me SO much!!

Let me know! tracyfaber@gmail.com

Woohoo, can't wait to linkup on Thursday! You will get a grasp on this, don't you worry. You have all the motivation you need and definitely all the support. If you feel like snacking, just find something healthy to grab for instead of (insert junk food here). Carrots and hummus is a yummy alternative!

You can do it chica!! I'm sure that by the end of the month you're gonna be smokin!

I'm joining your 30 in 30 challenge! :) Have a great week!

This is an awesome goal! Tone it Up has some great workouts if you can't make it to the gym but still want to exercise at home. I always use them when traveling since I can do them in my hotel room! Good luck!!

I just started a diet today too!! We can do this!! I'm trying the yeast free diet. Only problem is that it says you can't eat fruit for the first two weeks. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE fruit?! I decided to put a "fat" picture of me from a couple years ago (before I lost a decent amount of weight) on my phone so it's motivation to not eat crappy foods anymore. Maybe that will help you too?! Keep at it girl! You can do it!

Ok first question.... HOW DO YOU STAY ON TRACK ON SUNDAY?!!? That is my worst day ever. Sun up to Sun down eating.

Second. I'm doing this challenge. I'm not a runner, never been a runner. Even when I was playing sports I had great stamina but in bball you get a break every few minutes.

I need your expert advice on tweaking the challenge for a non-runner. I like to do cardio kickboxing and zumba and spin, would one of those count as a mile?

Sorry I wrote you a novel just now.

Ever since I've had my son it has been a struggle for me. What has really helped me is doing research about the benefits of good health. Overall, not just to drop some weight. For instance, if you read about all the horrible chemicals in processed foods you will literally want to steer clear. At least I did. I've cut carbs, and really focused on meal planning and eating at home. I'm down 6 lbs..smallest i've been since my son!
REMEMBER: Abs are made in the kitchen. 70% diet, 30% exercise. GOOD LUCK :):)

Can I start with you?! I need to stop too! But I cant get in a workout routine or eat good...it's the damn soda that kills me but it's like my coffee. Not ok! Let's get that my friends app so you can see all the crap I shouldn't be eating and yell at me!!!

go girl! i totally know what you mean. losing weight is tough, especially as we get older. i think my vacation to florida next week (i.e. seeing myself in a bathing suit for the first time in months) will be enough to shock my ass into sticking to a workout/diet pattern!!!

I totally could have written the part about getting into a routine with working out, but not be able to control what I eat. You're doing better than I am if you're staying on track Monday through Thursday! I am terrible! My problem is not having a plan for dinners (and thus lunches), and well, lunches. If I don't bring my lunch and healthy snacks, I tend to make a bad choice. I've got to change my ways!!

Nikki, I do the same thing. I work my butt off for months and lose weight and feel great about myself and then for 4-6 weeks straight I eat whatever I want and lose my routine. It all piles back on plus some. I did Weight Watchers and it worked for me. I'm currently doing Whole 30, but if I feel myself self-sabotaging again, I will probably do Weight Watchers again.

You've got this girl! I hate mindless eating on the weekends. I don't even eat bad stuff, I just grab snacks all day. I need to stop doing that too!
